Mr. Nikhil Gandhi


Mr. Nikhil Gandhi, the architect of SKIL, is a first generation entrepreneur and has led the company in undertaking various projects of National importance. It is his vision, passion, zeal and indefatigable energy which has been instrumental in bringing Private Sector initiative into Public domain. He has over 35 years of experience in conceiving and developing Projects, primarily in Infrastructure sector in India.

Mr. Nikhil Gandhi was nominated twice as Trustee of Mumbai Port Trust (MbPT) by the Government of India and holds the distinction of having been the youngest ever Trustee in the history of MbPT. He was also the recipient of the "Best Young Entrepreneur" IBC award for the year 1990 from the Ministry of Chemicals and Petrochemicals and was also a Honorary member of prestigious Indian Council for Agricultural Research (ICAR), Ministry of Agriculture, Govt. of India.

In the past, he has held the following positions:

Chairman – Federation of Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) Forum on Ports, Shipping and Special Economic Zones

Member - Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) National Committee on Surface Transport & Infrastructure

Mr. Bhavesh Gandhi

Bhavesh Gandhi, a first generation entrepreneur, is co-founder and promoter of SKIL Mr. Gandhi has over 30 years of rich and varied experience in conceiving and setting up first-of-its kind path breaking greenfield infrastructure projects in the country.

Bhavesh Gandhi has been instrumental in carving a global niche for SKIL, leading strategic planning, project formulation and development of the Group's various initiatives from time to time. His experience in various sectors, administrative ability, drive, devotion, and skill in organization saw the evolution of all the projects and his attention to detail are the qualities that ensure that each project that SKIL undertakes is implemented smoothly and professionally.

He was bestowed with the "Young Entrepreneur Award" at the World Expo 2012, SMP (Shipping, Marine & Ports) Awards.

He has also been nominated as Trustee of Mumbai Port Trust (MbPT) by Ministry of Shipping, Govt of India.

Dr. J. Alexander

Director (Independent)

Dr. J. Alexander an M.A. (English Language & Literature) and Phd. (Philosopy) is a retired senior bureaucrat. After teaching English Literature in Kerala University, he joined the Indian Administration Service in 1963. He has held important positions in his long professional career and to name a few; Managing Director Karnataka State Ware Housing Corporation; Chief Executive Officer Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation, Commissioner of Bangalore City Corporation; Chairman Karnataka State Housing Board and Karnataka State Slums Clearance Board, Bangalore; Chairman and Managing Director Mangalore Chemicals and Fertilisers, Mangalore; Chairman Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board, Karnataka State Finance Corporation, Mysore Sales International Limited, Bangalore Development Authority, Karnataka State Pollution Control Board; and Chief Secretary to Government of Karnataka. His last posting was Secretary to Government of India for Social, Women and Child Welfare Development. He was elected as Member of Legislative Assembly from Bharathi Nagar Constituency in Bangalore and subsequently as Minister for Tourism, Government of Karnataka. In his capacity as a Chairman of Central Coir Board, he also worked as Consultant for Agriculture Organisation of United Nation.

Ms. Gayathri Ramachandran

Ms. Gayathri Ramachandran holds a Bachelor's Degree in Economics (Hons.) from Delhi University, a Master's Degree in Economics from Delhi University, a Master's Degree in Development Economics from Williams College, Massachusetts, USA and a Master's Degree in Defence Studies from National Defence College. Belonging to 1972 batch of the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), she has over 36 years of experience working in infrastructure Sectors of Government of India and Government of Andhra Pradesh in the areas of power and energy, environment, industry, fertilizers and chemicals and Social Sectors such as Women and Child Development, Tourism and Culture, Rural Development etc. Ms. Ramchandran has made significant contribution to the reforms and restructuring Power Sector and formulating guidelines in the management of Power and Energy sectors.

Mr. Rakesh Mohan

Mr. Rakesh Mohan is a retired senior bureaucrat. He joined the Indian Administrative service in the year 1978. He has completed B.Sc. (Honors) and M.Sc. in Physics from Delhi University. He also did MS Electrical Engineering from Ohio State University in USA. He also did MS in Social Policy & Planning in Developing Countries from School of Economics at London. He has held important positions in his long professional career and to name a few ; Secretary to the Governor, Arunachal Pradesh, Principal Secretary in Public works Department in Delhi, worked in the Ministry of Energy (Department of Power) and Ministry of Commerce, Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting and also a Principal Secretary (Education), Government of Delhi.

Mr. V. Ramanan

Director (Independent)

Mr. V. Ramanan, a Commerce Graduate. He has held important positions in his long career with Indian Bank, which he joined as a Probationary Officer by back in 1968 before superannuating as a Senior General Manager, after 33 years of experience in Banking Sector.
